Wellness & Pastoral Care

"I would like to express my gratitude to the teachers for pushing our limits, the counsellors for always being their for us, the kitchen staff for their delicious, mood-changing food . . ."

Hamza Abu Ziad, Class of 2020

Lower School Wellness

In Lower School, students work with Classroom teachers and parents to develop trusting and collaborative relationships.

Upper School Wellness

In Upper School, the Advisor and the Advisory block is used to ensure wellness, build authentic relationships and provide a ‘touchpoint’ for students and parents.

Authentic Touchpoints

At GWA, the goal of the Pastoral Care Program  is to build the capacity of the school community to support each student to grow and develop and engage in meaningful and successful learning through meaningful relationships and learning experiences.

Learning with Support

GWA’s Pastoral Care Program works to ensure the social and emotional wellbeing of our students. It helps students “acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions.” — CASEL

"GWA did not only equip my mind and build my character, but also developed my capabilities and taught me to take ownership of my actions both outside and inside campus."

Ahmet Amine Mohemmane, Class of 2020
