School Store
Uniform Policy
The GWA school store provides uniforms and all school supplies for GWA students. The School Store is operated by Global Education Services who provide a number of educational support services to GWA.
The school uniform is required of all students first grade through High School to help foster a sense of discipline and modesty in school dress. Students are required to wear tops issued by the school. These have the GWA logo. This includes jackets, sweaters and sweatshirts along with a GWA shirt or T-shirt underneath. The GWA logo must always be seen on the top of any layers.
Note: Blue jeans are not a part of the school uniform! No sleeveless, skin-tight or open midriff clothing, please. No accessorizing please. (e.g. no fluffs, scarves, fancy belts, large hoop earrings, fancy or expensive jewelry, etc.). Shoes should be appropriate for school, please do not allow your student to wear fancy dress or high-heeled shoes.
Students who come to school without the proper uniform will be sent to the Lower School and Upper School office. They will be allowed to call home and when the proper attire arrives they can return to class. Parents should mark student names on each uniform piece and on any student jacket or sweater. This will ensure that misplaced items can be returned to the student. A lost and found is maintained near the Nurse's Office. Unmarked clothes which have been left in the lost and found for more than a couple of months will be given away.
*Occasionally special dress or free dress days will be announced to encourage school spirit. On these days only, the school uniform is not required.
