Primary School

Education is about the power of change, and at GWA we believe that students must be inspired, equipped, and empowered to affect change in the world around them and beyond. Our multilingual literacy approach coupled with our strong belief that building character is an essential component of effective education combine to facilitate an innovative and meaningful educational experience.

Discovery - Kindergarten

GWA's Early Childhood program enrolls students starting from the age of 3 in our Discovery program.  Discovery, Pre-K, and Kindergarten provide a fun place for children to grow.  Early Childhood instruction is accomplished through class themes. Students explore their world through artistic expression, song, and story. Early Childhood at GWA is a place for children to grow by asking big questions, learning from their failures, and helping others.  It is about developing the building-blocks of lifelong learning and cultivating independence and confidence in early learners.

Grades 1 - 5

As an American international school in Morocco, our goal is to prepare “… multilingual, lifelong learners who pursue excellence, model integrity, and honor cultural diversity.” Our curriculum is designed to prepare students with the skills to successfully transition to Upper School at GWA and beyond. We strive to model strong character and recognize character excellence in our students. In doing so we hope to “serve Morocco and the global community with wisdom and compassion.”

GWA's Library Program

GWA's library acts as an educational service, providing literacy and research instruction to elementary students during regularly scheduled library times.  Our librarians partner with teachers to foster 21st century research skills, provide story times to our younger students, and encourage reading by providing our students, staff and parents with personally-recommended books for their enjoyment and learning.
