Welcome from the Head of School

Winter 2016

Dear GWA families,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to George Washington Academy for the 2016-2017 academic year. We open this new school year with more than 39 nationalities represented within our student body. Along with a new building project, this year we also begin the implementation of a Seven Year Action Plan born out of the recent MSA Accreditation process. We are excited and optimistic as we unite our teachers, administrative teams and governing board to focus together on this strategic endeavor.

For those who are returning we are very thankful for your loyalty to our school community. It is so nice to see you and your beautiful children ready for another year in their educational career. To all the new families we offer you our warmest welcome –Marhaba!

You have made an excellent decision by enrolling your student in GWA. We are fully accredited by MSA and one of the five American schools in Morocco included in the US-Morocco Bi-Lateral Agreement. As the largest International American school in this region we are the flagship school, leading the way with a full menu of excellent and progressive educational programs. Thank you for making GWA your school of choice.

It is my personal goal to make sure the GWA learning community is serving your family professionally and in alignment with the GWA Vision.

Vision Statement
GWA inspires students to become multilingual,
lifelong learners who pursue excellence,
model integrity, and honor cultural diversity.
We educate the whole person by equipping minds and
building character: empowering students to
serve Morocco and the global community
with wisdom and compassion.

It is my sincere hope that GWA will continue to build a community that exemplifies and embodies this Vision. I believe that there is no greater agent of change than the power of people united by the same vision and engaged in a healthy learning community.

I hope you will be an encourager of our learning community by joining us in fulfilling this Vision. We need you to be cheering on your students as they engage in this journey with GWA. The leadership and teaching faculty of GWA is here to support the success of each student.

Thank you for joining us for another year.

Equipping minds and building character.

For GWA,
