Our curriculum is designed to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. It’s aligned with international standards like the Common Core and AERO, ensuring both a structured and flexible approach to education.

Language Arts: Building Strong Foundations

  • Student Support & Personal Growth: Our student-centered approach extends to support services, ensuring each child’s success. We provide tailored support through EAL, learning support, and counseling programs. Our holistic model also integrates social-emotional learning, using frameworks like CASEL and the Second Step Curriculum.

We are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all learners, including those with diverse needs. Through a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), we provide interventions and accommodations to ensure each student’s academic journey is successful.

Assessment & Technology: Driving Growth and Innovation

  • Assessment & Technology Integration: At GWA, we recognize the importance of using assessment benchmarks to monitor both our growth as a community and our students' progress. We regularly use tools such as the NWEA MAP Assessment, PSAT results, and a variety of summative and formative assessments to ensure that we are meeting educational goals and adapting our methods as needed. This data-driven approach allows us to refine our teaching practices and provide targeted support to all students.

Additionally, our Digital Citizenship program, which covers crucial topics such as privacy, media literacy, and online safety, empowers students to navigate the digital world responsibly.

Beyond the Classroom: Extra-Curricular Opportunities

Extra-Curricular Programming: Beyond the classroom, we offer a rich variety of extra-curricular programs that encourage students to explore their passions and develop important life skills.

  • Athletics program: promotes physical health and teamwork, offering opportunities in multiple sports and fostering school spirit.

  • After School Activities: We believe that educating students goes beyond academics—it’s about embracing new experiences, discovering passions, and learning the power of collaboration

  • Model United Nations (MUN): Our MUN program allows students to engage with global issues and develop skills in diplomacy, negotiation, and public speaking. It is a unique platform where students practice leadership, research, and collaborative problem-solving in a simulated international environment.

  • Service Learning and CAS: As part of the Diploma Programme, students participate in Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS). Through this, students undertake projects that combine personal growth with community impact. Service learning projects allow students to engage with their local and global communities, fostering a strong sense of social responsibility and encouraging them to take action for meaningful causes.
     

High School Programs

In high school, students follow a rigorous academic path that includes the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. This prepares them for higher education and equips them with the skills necessary to succeed in global institutions. The IB program also integrates personal projects where students explore individual interests, developing independent research and self-management skills.
