Academic Program

Preschool Academic Program (Nursery through Pre-K)

Our preschool program is designed to develop the social, emotional, physical, and language skills necessary to successfully learn the Common Core State Standards when students begin Kindergarten.

We begin early with oral English, surrounding our youngest children with native English speakers who teach how to play safely, reinforce independence in partnership with parents, and work cooperatively and by themselves. We also develop early literacy skills in French so that children can begin the serious work of learning to read and write when they enter Kindergarten. Instruction is accomplished through class themes. Students explore their world through artistic expression, song, and story. GWA Preschool is a fun place for children to grow. We want students to ask big questions, learn from their failures, and help others when they can. Preschool is about developing the building-blocks of lifelong learning.
